Sampling of Troop Activities
Being one of the largest and most active boy-led troops in the Tricity area, we have a wide range of diverse activities. Below is a sampling of a few.
Outdoor Activities
We have almost monthly camping, and annual ones such as snow camp and summer camps. We also have various hiking, cycling, and water activities throughout the year, including an annual hike to Mission Peak.
Fundraising
We do three key fundraisers through the year where you can gain sales experience and help raise funds for our troop: Pancake Breakfast, Popcorn selling, and Alameda County Fair
Service Projects
We do a various service projects throughout the year, including homeless shelter feedings, annual can food drive, and various other conservation projects
Leadership
Leadership is much more than standing in front of the group giving directions. We ensure that the boys are in charge [with leader guidance] and scaffold them to lead bigger and bigger things.
Court of Honor
We have a quarterly celebration called Court of Honor, where we have a troop-wide potluck, slideshow, and award ceremony
High Adventure
We have various trips to Scouting high adventure bases such as Philmont, Sea Base, & Northern Tier.
